Observer II
So it seems a lifetime of heading the ball in soccer, can result in brain damage. Can you imagine footy being played with out heading ? Sounds like crash helmets will be required.
asperity
The last time I went to a Warrington Town game the ball was kicked off the pitch towards me and I caught it. It was surprisingly light compared to the old "casies" I was used to when I were a lad.
Davy51
A mate of mine ,who used to play for non league Wigan Athletic in the 70s was hit in the face by a heavy ball while keeping goal. He was left with life changing injuries & has been registered blind ever since.
