Labour claim up to 8,000 foreign tourists per day are entering the UK during the current lock down, given our inability to seal and safeguard our borders of course, this could be true. But Labour have consistently opposed tightening controls on illegal immigration, which continues with every boat landing on our Kent beaches.  Thus laying bare the true political opportunism and hypocracy of Labour.  😠

I know i am being a bit slow Today but what is the connection between tourists and illegal immigrants.

8,000 foreign tourists are just that tourists, they come here, have a look round and spend a bit of money and then bugger off back home complaining about the British attitude to "foreigners"

Brits go abroad for a tour round, get ratlegged and then come back here complaining about the poor service in the hotels and how the Germans hog the sunbeds.

Tourists are here legally,Illegal immigrants,by definition, are not,

We're talking in the context of a pandemic Sid;  under a Gov that sold Brexit on the basis of protecting our borders.  Which it's clearly incapable of, whether the entrants are legal or illegal, they can all bring in the virus.  Under current lockdown rules, tourism is illegal in any case.         😷
