Just ship them to Tristan da Cunha or somewhere else...
Observer II
It' only a minefield because we have passed laws and tied ourselves to HR treaties - just change the law and renege on an HR nonesense - it's called Governing. 😠
Evil Sid
we could always stage a civil war here that might deter them.....🤭
Observer II
Well, the opposing teams are lined up Sid, just needs a spark to kick it off ! 😉 Seems Priti may have been reading this topic, she's lining up measures for a post-Brexit (2021) immigration policy, which will assume (in law) that any migrant that has travelled through the EU without applying for asylum will be deported on arrival in the UK. That just leaves a million or so that are already here, to sort out. 😠
asperity
The Australian system says that anybody attempting to enter Australia illegally will NEVER be accepted for asylum. Seems to work.
Observer II
Well, the latest brainwave is to house them on disused ferries and cruise ships; which then suggests they can be taken back to Calais and off loaded, at gun point if necessary. 😠

But the thing that gets me is we are paying a fortune for all this palarva 😡
Observer II
We've been paying a fortune to feed and house, and provide legal aid for them for the last decade. 😠
Davy51
Luckily the UN is on the side of the migrants & says our ability to take in countless numbers is not being stretched. Pity the UN can't sort out the problems in the homelands of these unfortunates so they don't need to become homeless refugees.
Observer II
Well Priti seems to be talking the talk, with deportation of migrant rough sleepers and petty criminals, and the netting and return of boats - but will she walk the walk ? France is already refusing to accept them back - what a despicable nation. 😠
