asperity
Isn't it fortunate that the money we send in foreign aid to the likes of India is spent so responsibly to ease the poverty in those countries: https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/india-successfully-shoots-down-satellite-in-space-pm-modi/articleshow/68593732.cms
Observer II
might help also, if their billionaires contributed properly to the national tax take.
Evil Sid
Noticed the americans are kicking up about it as the debris is starting to affect the ISS and could affect other satellites in orbit. Currently over 500,000 pieces of space debris are being tracked and there are many more that are to small to track. Anything smaller than about a half inch/12 mm being difficult or impossible to track. Does wrankle though seeing these things when there are heart tugging adverts asking for £2 a month so little (add generic name) does not have to travel fifty miles to fetch ( add resource of choice) and can grow up and go to school. ( no doubt to produce more little ones that will have to travel fifty miles etc)
Observer II
Or you can sponsor a Donkey in Morrocco , a Tiger in India, Elephant in Kenya, or Polar Bear in Greenland - ooh, and a puppy in Korea.
asperity
I always wonder why the people who send their 3 year old children on a 50 mile daily trek to fetch undrinkable water don't move their home and possessions to the source of the water?
Observer II
They do so Asp, because the £billions granted in aid, doesn't get past the corrupt politicians to it's intended target, but gets diverted to Swiss bank accounts or to spending on military hardware.
