Why do Governments struggle ?

If they're Iranian or Afghan then they should have seeked asylum long before reaching any EU country, let alone France. But of course they are penniless refugees who need to be taken in by racist xenophobic inward looking UK, because the rest of the multicultural world doesn't want them, for some obscure reason.

Meanwhile, it seems there has been a drop in the numbers of migrants entering the EU in the last year, principally due to the Italians blocking their ports to "rescue ships".  Conversely, in Spain, where they now have a liberal Government that still allows "rescue boats" to ferry the migrants in, numbers have doubled.

Not often we get post-entry news on these illegals, but it seems the four Iranians who recently crossed the channel, are now living in a hostel in Liverpool, fed and watered by the tax-payer; while they use publicly funded legal aid to pursue their asylum claim.    For some reason, they avoided claiming asylum in France, which is a good indication of how desperate they were.  Now, they are planning to bring their families over, as soon as the HO accepts their asylum claim.  So much for "protecting our borders".
