Davy51
Sir Ken Dodd really was a master of comedy & could teach the funny men of today a thing or two. Marathon one man shows filled with rib tickling wit & jokes & not one utterance of filth or bad language ,he really has left a rich legacy to the world of comedy. Goodnight God bless Ken ! Evil Sid
a great comedian, a good singer and also the inventor of self assessment tax returns. ( a joke he told after he was acquitted of tax fraud) Guinness record holder for telling 1,500 jokes in three hours and that was just the first part of his act according to him at the time. a relative of mine has said that he was always the gentleman when she had to work with him. One problem with him was that whenever he was billed they had to work a lot of unscheduled overtime. ( she worked at a theatre in manchester booking the acts think it may have been the Apollo but not sure about that)
asperity
RIP Ken, sadly missed already. "I'd like to say how tickled I am on a large scale. Have you ever been tickled on a large scale missus? It's worth a penny!"

algy
Great comedian, the funniest act I have ever seen is Ken with Dicky Mint who said that Ken was the worst ventriloquist ever!.
Bazj
My dad was the Chauffeur for Crosfields for many years and one job he always had to carry out was to take Ken home after he had done one of his shows at the old Crosfields theatre.
