Eagle
......and where is it? I think you put a bet on a snail at 8pm and pick up your winnings at the end of the race on Tuesday afternoon. Paul Kennedy
Unless the French are there in which case they will be a tasty starter.

Geoff Settle
The answer is at Padgate Community Centre - plenty of FREE parking - starts at 7:30 and entry just a pound. There is a great NEW Plaice for fish and chips open at the Railway Station or you can have a meal at the ROSE Chinese restaurant.
Evil Sid
geoff i hope that was a deliberate spelling meanwhile i wonder if it will be like this.
Geoff Settle
It's a great advert isn't it and as for the spelling that's the name of the Chippy. It's also one planning application that received unaminous support and I think that it's doing really well as a business.

milly
I'm sorry, I forgot I posted this! How stupid I am not to put where in my initial post! A snail race, you'll be glad to hear, uses animated snails not real ones! No snails where injured during our night out! A dvd is made using details we send ie race names, sponsors, owners and snail names. There's a fair bit of 'cheating' going on during the races which adds to the fun. The kids love it! I lost a fortune, but it was the clubs gain. We seemed to do quite well and definately had a good laugh, but we haven't had a meeting yet so I don't know how much we raised altogether. Goonerman
Reminds me of the Guinness advert from a few years ago!
