Stallard12
That's beautiful PJ, we didn't get many 'Streak' class engines thru here even in the '50's when I was an avid 'train spotter'.
P J
I have never really been into trains (although its a great way to travel) but I appreciate the engineering skills which go into making this engine.
Davy51
There is a short video on facebook ,Warrington Memories page about the engine going down to Crewe earlier this year.
Dizzy
Great photo's PJ. Is it easy to get to too see as I might have a nosey tomorrow I saw a video of it coming towards Warrington on the facebook group 'Warington Photo's Warrington Born' Davy. Wish I'd seen it with my own eyes as it looked and sounded fab.Wonder what broke on it and why it's stuck at Dallam now.
P J
its easy to park and photograph Dizzy. Its behind a steel fence but the lens will fit through. I was lucky and had step ladders in my van.
P J
Was it the sideways video Davy? if so I saw it, very cool.
Davy51
I don't think it was sideways but it was a night time video on a "cold ,wet January night" leaving Bank Quay apparently.

Stallard12
Off to New Orleans on the Sunset Limited (LA to New Orleans) from Beaumont Tx, on July 26th, just for the fun of it - Still a great and luxurious way to travel PJ.

Davy51
Excellent photos everybody . Isn't it amazing that nostalgia usually involves what was once a lot of hard work for the people involved ?
Dizzy
I never thought of it like that and yes you are right Davy

Gary
Heard it was due to get back on track today. Generated huge amount of interest on the main pages and social media http://www.warrington-worldwide.co.uk/2015/06/17/age-of-steam-returns-to-warrington/
Dizzy
Must be the most photographed and talked about thing in Warrington this week.Another update on the news page tonight showing photo's of it going off on it's merry way on the back of a low loader. Damn I wish I'd known it was going then, I was near there at that time but thought it had gone earlier this afternoon. Flippin' heck !! http://www.warrington-worldwide.co.uk/2015/06/17/historic-steam-train-union-of-south-africa-takes-to-the-roads-of-warrington/#prettyPhoto

Dizzy
I only caught a snippet of it on the news and recognised it from when it was stuck at Dallam but missed the rest so I wondered why it was on the TV, now I know :D
