observer
A destitute society, where a third of their meagre incomes are spent on obtaining fresh clean water. The Bush/Bliar legacy  - they should be on trial for war crimes.
safeway56
Blair joined in with the Yanks in a deadly bombing campaign(please don't call it a war) which cost the lives of thousands from all sides. The man undoubtedly has the blood of many on his hands yet presently he's swanning around the world stuffing his bank account with millions of unearned cash. Neither he nor Bush will ever be brought to account for this shameful bloodletting. Summat's up when this is allowed to happen.
Davy51
A couple of hundred years ago Bush would have been called a pirate with a parrot called Blair on his shoulder. Iraq.... all about oil. Afghanistan...arguably one of the world's biggest producers of opium poppies...is it all about controlling drugs & making e few bob along the way? observer
Seems the Government don't want an enquiry in to the events leading to the invasion of Iraq - no wonder, they would become proven liers. It is now emerging that the intelligence behind the WMD lie, was almost wholly gleaned from an Iraqi chemist, in the pay of the German Intelligence Service (code name "curveball"), whom MI6 described as a fantasist, 18 months before Colin Powell regurgitated his misinformation in the UN, as the basis for the war. So yes, let's have the enquiry - but don't hold your breath waiting for anyone to be held to account for all the subsequent death and destruction.
