Gary Posted May 6, 2014 Report Posted May 6, 2014 Aston Villa and the mighty West Ham will both smash City and Liverpool will win the title by four clear points after thrashing Newcastle at home as the whole world (other than Manchester) rejoices to a fantastic title achievement - and then I woke up realizing I should never have Dared to dream! Gary Posted May 7, 2014 Report Posted May 7, 2014 You shouldn't eat cheese before going to bed Gary, it makes you dream impossible dreams Actually I think it has been hard cheese for Liverpool this season But never mind I'd have taken runners up and Champions League spot plus a drubbing of Everton at Anfield before the season kicked off plus a league double over Man United! Primedius Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 Congratulations to Man City for being champions, seems that Liverpool and United fans have gone quiet, apart from having a go at each other. This was probably Liverpool's best chance in 24 years with Ferguson gone and United playing crap, but unfortunately the other Manchester side stepped up to continue the Manchester dominance. How ironic that the player who has saved Liverpool over the years should be responsible for the slip that turned Liverpool's season around. Quote
P J Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 Great season, great to watch, Well done City, and well done Liverpool, both entertaining and providing excitement and both weighing in with over 100 goals apiece. Second is far better than I expected or hoped for before the season started so I can't complain. Suarez player of the year too. No surprise that the best team from each city finished above their neighbours. All this said I have to mention the fact that this must be the worst, most pathetic defence of a title I can recall. Robbo Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 No surprise that the best team from each city finished above their neighbours. You get a medal for that . Quote
P J Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 Shouldn't it say Everton and not man Utd? Anyway Liverpool didn't get a medal for finishing 2nd. They do however pick up 99 million quid in prize money and TV rights. Also Liverpool are in the Champions League next season, and its many millions in for my team at the expense of Man United lol Quote
asperity Posted May 12, 2014 Author Report Posted May 12, 2014 All this said I have to mention the fact that this must be the worst, most pathetic defence of a title I can recall. Blackburn Rovers ended up 7th the season after they won the Premiership as well. But certainly a record breaking performance by Man U in many ways. Quote
Robbo Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 They do however pick up 99 million quid in prize money and TV rights. Yeh, that certainly puts Man Utd with £90m in their place for coming 7th. Quote
P J Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 Yeh, that certainly puts Man Utd with £90m in their place for coming 7th. When combined with the massive loss of revenue from Champions league football, plus the fact that they never even qualified for the Europa league so no dosh from there, quite a hefty drop in earnings for the lesser Mancs, but not to worry it's all gone to a better place Quote
Robbo Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 Eh............. you get more coming bottom of the Premiership than you do from winning the Champions League. Quote
P J Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 Ah so United wont miss the revenue ? lololol Newsflash, you get both the premier league money and the Champions league money duh. Quote
asperity Posted May 12, 2014 Author Report Posted May 12, 2014 To be fair, we have to thank the Poo for a couple of weeks of laughter. 1 Quote
P J Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 To be fair, we have to thank the Poo for a couple of weeks of laughter. and to reciprocate may I thank the bitters for decades of hilarity lol Quote
P J Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 Very droll, I love how obsessed you Manc minor fans are with the countries finest player. He may not have the league title to his name but he is thoroughly deserving of this beauty Quote
asperity Posted May 12, 2014 Author Report Posted May 12, 2014 and to reciprocate may I thank the bitters for decades of hilarity lol Angostura? Whatever floats your boat  Quote
P J Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 Angostura? Whatever floats your boat  OK I obviously exaggerated when I used the word hilarity and connected it to you. Lol Quote

P J Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 I do hope so. So would you like Moyes back now he is available. He does have a good win percentage record lol ps. I forgot about that and how getting rid of the chosen one would cost around 10 million. Oh happy days lol Quote
