observer
We had the Telegraph report that Bulgaria was selling passports for £150,000 a time; now on BBC reporters, a piece about Portugal selling "golden passports" to rich Chinese that have taken up residency. The suggestion in the piece is that Italy, Spain and Greece, are at it too; in order to make a few bob to keep themselves solvent. Perhaps the EU should be declared a red light district?! Bazj
Doesn't surprise me if its true..... the whole of the EU is just one big corrupt cesspool of failed politicians and massively overpaid hangers on.... roll on the referendum.... Davy51
I believe some Euro countries are asking as much as half a million Euros.
observer
I guess, like the Russian Oligarchs before them, these "rich" Chinese need a bolt hole to flee to, when they've finished robbing their own countries? Meanwhile, at the other end of the spectrum, the Italian Navy has picked up (saved), 4,000 African boat migrants in the last 4 months. Bazj
why is it when they save them they can't take them back to Africa?
observer
No idea; but this seems to apply to all illegal entrants into the EU (through Spain, Greece and now Bulgaria). They seem to be kept in internment camps to be processed, whatever processed means. It would however be interesting to see if they are medically screened, given that we've already imported an anti-biotic resistant strain of TB from Russia and now we've got a flare up of eubola virus in Africa - and there's no cure for it.
