On Wednesday, 12th March, 2014 there will be an Organ Recital in the Parr Hall.

Professor Ian Tracey - Organist Titulaire of Liverpool Cathedral will be the Recitalist.

This will be an event NOT to be missed.

The last Recital on the 1870 Cavaille-Coll Organ was 17th June, 2011 when the Bi-Centenary of the Birth of the Organ Builder Aristide Cavaille-Coll was celebrated.

The Recitalists on that occasion were Roger Fisher Organist Emeritus, Chester Cathedral, and Benjamin Saunders, Director of Music, Leeds Cathedral.

Thanks DS.  It's a wonderful instrument which deserves to be heard much more.  There is a CD recording of this organ available from the Organist - Roger Fisher's web-site  http://rfisher.me/recordings-page/organ/cavaile-coll/

After I had started this topic we are on now, I decided to give publicity to the Ian Tracey Recital on the topic of this forum 'Parr Hall - Local Issues'.

The feedback I received told me that the Parr Hall web-site didn't include the 12th March, 2014 Recital in 'What's on'.

It was only after I contacted Parr Hall management that it was listed.
