asperity
I always wondered what OFSTED stood for.
Mary
I think they put it quite well - As much as I loved teaching, politics, placement and foolish ideas pushed me right out of a job and into Health Care. I miss the kids but not the mind numbing establishment.
RingoDave
Right with you there, Mary. Twenty years teaching was good, but then it began to get to be a real pain with all the interference from people who were never trained anyway. I, too, am now in healthcare (ABI rehabilitation) and it is beginning to start here as well! Glad I am due to retire in six years or so - depending on whether they raise the age yet again! observer
Unfortunately. PC interference and political dabbling has ruined most of our institutions now - and I'm not sure they can ever recover from it.
