Eagle
United have told Rooney to put his transfer request in writing, they will have a long wait.

wolfie
Seems Rooney definitely wants out, as does Suarez. Understandable that clubs will hold on to get the best price, but why do United and Liverpool insist that they are not for sale. What's the point of holding on to players that don't want to play? Is it a coincidence that Rooney didn't play the last tour match because he had a 'shoulder' problem and likewise Suarez didn't play the last tour match for Liverpool because of a 'damaged' ankle??? Peter T
I think it's just to show that they don't get their own way immediately. Fergie did it with Ronaldo. I agree with it. Make the traitors sweat a bit.
algy
I agree Peter, the only problem with using that type of psychology on Rooney is he doesn't understand whats happening.

Peter T
See the poo American owner is saying that Suarez won't be allowed to leave this season. Hopefully, forcing these players to stay until the club decides to let them go, will discourage others from spitting their dummy out. We never had this hype years ago when others moved abroad to ply their trade, ie, Hughes, Law, and co.
