I didn't get it and spent ages trying to sus out what the thing sticking out of the trees was.  Was it supposed to be a crocodiles head (why would a cat look at a croc... or was the croc looking at the cat) maybe a dinosaurs head ?  What on earth........ and whoever did it was clearly no good at photo editing...... but then maybe I just didn't get it.

..... and damn after just looking again I spotted the squirrel ....  "You stupid bloody woman !!! "  (said by me to me)

We have a new puppy and a geriatric cat. I wish I had had a camera to hand to record their antics.

Ha ha that would be fun to see.  :)  Haven't got a digital (photo) camera or mobile phone that you could video them with?

What sort of pup have you got and how old is it ?

I took the pic this morning in my garden. The cat seemed to be unsure whether it was supposed to be chasing the squirrel or making friends with it!! Eventually the squirrel wandered off, unconcerned as only squirrels can, into the trees leaving the cat looking embarrassed

Dizzy, if it makes you feel better, I just spent 5 minutes trying to find the crocodile!!

Thanks Asp and it did    Good to hear that the cat is clearly as stupid as me too by the way

Maybe it thought the squirrel was a baby cat and came over all maternal/paternal and was worried that unattended baby cat might fall if it was startled by any sudden movement.  'Where there's blame there's a claim' and all that. 8)

Sorry, didn't get the "cats trees squirels fences" joke. I am a bit slow.

We have an 8 week old Labrador puppy and a 14 year old moggy. we all love them both but Nitty Natty Pussy Catty is not happy!

He scratched the nose of the last pup we brought here (about 9 years ago...Izzydog, now deceased) and she respected him for that and became life long friends, except that Izzy has gone and Rosie is now trying to become "top dog" in our house.

If any of you out there in WW land are able to help tame a really intelligant, fiesty and determined little beautiful puppy I would love to hear how?
