Lt Kije
Yes I do recall, PJ, what UK made arms were used by Iraq? I did hear that the Argentineans had used British made bombs in the war, but thought it was only speculation and remained unproven. Iraq bought it arms from Russia. observer
btw Kije; even the weapons used by the US/UK in Iraq, have allegedly killed our own troops (EG nuclear tipped A/T rounds).
Lt Kije
I Didn't take friendly fire into account Obs Do you mean the depleted Uranium shells and rounds, they are used because they have a very high density, not because they are radio active, I am not sure but I don't think they are radio active, but I do stress I am not sure. Davy51
As i've said before ,for some people war is very profitable & it is in their interests to create ,promote or encourage conflicts. As for our weapons being turned against our forces ,we had a similar anomaly in the Falklands with missiles from our French allies, which had been sold to Argentina in good faith, being used against our forces. Lt Kije
The trouble with dealing in arms is, you lose control of what happens to them after you have sold them, and they might come back to haunt you later.
observer
Yes Kije, depleted uranium; and the tank hulls in Iraq are still radio-active to this day; and US vets are dying of cancer.
