Tracey Bennett
This course was linked to from the Time Team Facebook page, not sure if any of the other history nuts on here are interested. I've signed myself up, hope it lives up to expectations! https://www.coursera.org/course/secrets

Nick Tessla
I'm always a bit sceptical when it comes to freebies and who is behind such offers. As it appears to be from the USA (last bastion of creationism) I just hope they don't have a module on how archaeology shows the earth is only a few thousand years old and man co-existed with dinosaurs. Tracey Bennett
It seems to come highly recommended, our local Community archaeology group is promoting it too. Although Proof of the pudding etc etc
fugtifino
I'm always a bit sceptical when it comes to freebies and who is behind such offers I'm a bit of a sceptic myself, but there's some cracking stuff out there from highly reputable sources, like this: http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/index.htm The one Tracey's linked to might be a good one for Indy. Tracey Bennett
Thought I'd come back and update this thread. I'm now into week 3 of the course and it's fab, really high quality from a very reputable University in America. One of the lecturers is updating the forums direct from her dig site in Petra, we get about an hour's worth of online lectures every week plus reading and 2 short assignments to complete. I'm really glad I signed up and will be looking out for other courses from the same place.
