  3. Where are people going to send their kids now then?
  4. No I lived in Padgate and my children went to Woolston, its about choice and I choose not to send them to Padgate, I know live in Sankey and they still go to Woolston its a great school and my son loves it. There is no reason to close any school.

  9. Fair enough. It was special measures that knocked the school in the first place, I dont think the council expected them to pull out but they did and did so early.
  10. The staff are not poor and the school is no longer in special measures. Woolston came out of that earlier than planned when the current head took over. [ 23.09.2007, 07:47: Message edited by: mummy ]

  17. Total and final decision will not be made till Feb 2008 downing street petetion is closing date August 2008 so No final decision will be made, this week Yr6 pupils are still viewing Woolston as their High school its carry on as normal.
  18. It aint over till that fat lady sings!!!!!!
  19. Im guessing that in those days it was safe to walk and cycle to school, unfortunatly its a different matter today.
  20. No the simple answer would be to let the local schools concentrate on 11-16 and the rest go to the 6th form colleges. Instead they decide to get rid of a school in the middle of a community then they will build new houses and the kids will have no where to go to school.
  21. http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/SaveWoolstonHigh/ Please help
  22. Just one other thing what about the parents who live at the top end of Manchester Road are they to make their kids walk to Padgate now!!!
  23. Lea is part of the council, yes I do know that. I also know it goes beyond the LEA now to be approved. Yes Observer as a parent of a pupil at Woolston I know I will be fighting to the very end. Plenty of 6th form provisions in warrington so the option of 4small schools should have been the one they stuck with.
