  4. Peter you have your own hotline to Warrington South police The twitter account is a great way to be kept up to date as to what is going on at your local station however just for Observer I would suggest ringing 101 or 999 still if an emergency if you see anything you mentioned I know you are only joking however when the police do something like the twitter account you still find people to make a negative comment about it
  5. Don't buy of them and send them packing, ring 101 if around again and inform police and trading standards
  6. Can I just say a big Thank you to everyone who helped us put on VPX this year, we are very quick to have a go at kids and young people in general however the number of people attending and joining in this year were record numbers and we had great feedback from sports clubs who have already had new people turn up for training. The biggest response we had this year was from volunteers from Warrington Youthclub who are all aged 16-17 years old and assisted with Search and rescue, Climbing walls, Heart start and Genral duties around the park, they were a credit to ther group and to all who know them and show what most people of that age are really like and that it is the very small minority that spoil things NOT ALL HOODIES ARE BAD THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO TURNED UP AND TOOK PART Tony

  12. What about the crash investigation and the measuring of distances and everything else that needs to be done to make sure everything that could have caused the accident has been taken into account
  13. I don't understand this comment, why how many have they had stolen? And what makes you think they are not security concious about their own bikes, how many people have the name of the company they work for written all over the bike, seems safe to me
  14. idiots spoil it every year Pete, they shouldn't have it on Vicky park , it's to open for the buggers to get on from anywhere
  15. no issues on Vicky park just extra police/ PCSO patrols to stop it before it started. so the Police done a great job, the kids already knew about the so called fights but the parents didn't until the texts went out so it proved to be a good idea, this so called fight always gets mentioned first weekend after the fair and very rarely materialises Well done Cheshire police

    VPX

Hello Everyone We have been running the VPX event on Victoria park during the summer holidays for the past four years, the event takes place for the four tuesdays in August and is aimed at getting kids (young people) of the streets by providing divesionary activities for them to take part in and maybe take up as a hobby. The event has grown signifficantly over the years and last year we had 1700 kids registered taking part over the 4 days, this does not include the number of parents and older youths that didn't register but joned in. The fedback every year from VPX is fantastic and the support given by local people is what makes it worthwhile. HERES THE BEGGING BIT We rely totally on funding from Council, Police, Fire brigade and local buisnesses as everything we provide is totally free to take part in,we need to keep the event Free as we don't want to discourage anyone from joining in due to finances as this would defeat the object of what we are trying to achieve The funding this year has dried up somewhat and we are going to struggle to make the event work this year if it goes ahead at all,So any Buisness contacts you may have that would like to get involved or better still become the primary Sponsor PLEASE pass on my contact details to them. I am sorry to write this on here but my biggest concern is that VPX goes ahead this year, Peter T from the forum knows all about what VPX is about and has been a frontrunnner in making sure it has gone ahead from day 1 so he will HOPEFULLY confirm to you who I am and it's genuine. for more details you can e-mail me at work - tony.spruce@cheshire.pnn.police.uk SORRY AGAIN FOR RANTING ON REGARDS TONY
  17. I would like to thank all the people who took part in Warrington's got Talent this year, the quality of the acts has been amazing and the behaviour and support given by them all to the other acts taking part is great to see. In a time when all we seem to do is have a go at the younger generations it is wonderfull to see such Talent and manners in the local youth. Thanks again to all who help and see you at the semis on 7th july at Alford sports club
