  1. Well, works fine for me. It's a link to a Twitter account, there's a post that details a headline carried in the Evening Standard: " A national humiliation: Brexiteers furious as Franco-Dutch firm wins contract to produce iconic blue passports". There's a link to the same if you're interested. The account holder quotes some lyrics from an 80s song, poking fun at these buffoons, who see blue passports as an example of "taking back control", then having to go overseas to have them produced. In the first two links in post #3, I've inverted the conventional perception of the political left/right, following your example in #2. The remainers haven't got a kick in the teeth with this, they're just having a good old giggle.
  2. You're welcome. Do you mean one of the links in post #3?
  3. What on earth is an RWNJ? http://lmgtfy.com/?q=RWNJ
  4. Yeah, all the lefties were apoplectic: http://dailym.ai/2INHshV The RWNJs, on the other hand, were cool: https://bit.ly/2pvwXbh Unfortunately though, we're all going to suffer: https://bit.ly/2ue4uLN
  5. Nothing to worry about here then. Righto.
  6. USA/EU trade isn't markedly imbalanced, with tariffs around 3% on average: http://ec.europa.eu/trade/policy/countries-and-regions/countries/united-states/index_en.htm Trump doesn't understand basic economics, he thinks buying stuff gives you a deficit. I'd bet he thinks VAT is a tariff.
  7. That means that it is now the Labour Party that wants to maintain job insecurity for the working class whilst the Tories want to stop it. Unless you can point to some convincing evidence, I’m calling bollocks on that one. To perceive Labour as treacherous I’d expect they’d have first had to have made some kind of promise.
  8. Working people are worse off than they were 8 years ago, this isn’t an illusion and it isn't entirely of Labour's doing.
  9. In a divorce, the terms of separation are negotiated by both parties...
  10. In your humble opinion, of course.
  11. Ok, I'll bite, please explain.
  12. I say, "treachery" is a bit strong. And, you're assuming everyone who voted to leave also wished to leave the single market and the customs union, which is not necessarily the case.
  13. Ooh, I don't know... https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/10/04/opinion/thoughts-prayers-nra-funding-senators.html
  14. "There's no such thing as a "hard brexit". " Well, that'll be news to our crack team of negotiators, but never mind. What are the benefits from a no deal Brexit then? Or any kind of Brexit.
  15. Yup, me too. I'm sympathetic to all parties involved, but it's hard to see a solution that's going to keep everyone happy.
  16. List them here. If this thread is a short one, you have to ask why anyone would ever consider such a thing. Take it away boys!
  17. Ooh, and another just for pointing it out. You is nailz.
  18. Ooh, look, another down vote from one of my cowardly stalkers. Bless.
  19. Well, I may be well off beam here, but I don't think I am. One thread, four posts, four downvotes: Zero comments from the thumbsdowners. Regardless of any negative aspects I may consider this place to have, I've always considered it somewhere where issues could be discussed. I don't think I've ever used a thumbs down for anything or anyone, I prefer to engage. Imo, that's what talkboards are for.
  20. That's up to you Diz, but it looks like what's been said so far hasn't made much difference.
  21. Heh, the way it's going it'll end up with more votes than posts.
  22. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-5358699/First-Brit-dark-skinned-blue-eyed.html Probably a migrant too...coming over here...eating our berries... Maybe we have more in common with other people than some of us would like to think.
  23. Well, there's the thing, you see, you don't seem to be able to distinguish between opinion and fact. What's worse is you don't even seem to care. It isn't my opinion that you said we soldiered on alone, it's what you said. Then it's you who claims you're being beaten down with semantics. When semantics is the only defence you've got left. Poor obs.
  24. Yeah, but you said we stood alone, and you were demonstrably wrong. Again.
