Dizzy Posted April 9, 2013 Report Share Posted April 9, 2013 Very sad to hear and he was certainly a chap who many people often talked about and who spoke of him as if they knew him personally. My mum used to talk about him too (although I doubt she actually knew him personally) and I remember her having his books amongst her hoard of other local books and she often referred to him, them and his tales. I never read them myself at the time as ghost tales always scared me and I tried not to listen when she relayed them to me.
