'Pushing and Shoving'

Theres a lot of 'pushing and Shoving' in the Korean playground after the US uses B52 nuclear strike bombers in South Korean military exercises, is it possible or probable that North Korea sees US nuclear firepower as a direct threat to its existence and claims the annual military drills are a preparation for invasion. Kim Jong Un also uses the US nuclear arsenal as a justification for its own push for nuclear-tipped missiles that can strike the United States - a goal that experts believe to be years away, despite a nuclear test last month and a long-range rocket launch in December, are the experts correct or will the US goad North Korea into some major act of aggression against them to justify a token tactical weapons air strike against North Korea as they did in Iraq, different scenario, same result - tople the extreme communist regime.

The US should keeps it's over long nose out of other countries affairs and spend more time and money sorting out the problems in their own country.

I think that if they have troubles at home they go and pick a fight some where in another street, it focusses the residents of the US away from their own domestic problems, that is until the body bags start coming home!, however in this present situation they would require to keep a good stock on, in the US!.

I  think the bloodied nose inflicted by the Vietnamese is still too fresh in the mind of the US population to allow military action.against what is a fanatical & more organised outfit than Charlie & the North Korea of 60 years ago. Whatever air strikes are used, the final outcome would be hand to hand fighting & let's be honest ,since 1945 America's involvement in overseas conflicts have ,for a country its size, been disastrous humiliations. Let's just hope, if push comes to shove, that our government of the day doesn't commit our forces as well & has the bottle to say "No" .

Think the days of "boots on the ground" is over, especially if it means taking on an Army of over a million brainwashed squaddies. More likely N/Korea will be turned into a nuclear waste site at the first sign of a launch?

You can hardly 'nuke' the North without it having some retrograde effect on the south, obs.

That applies to any use of WMDs Alg ; they would have to consider wind and weather conditions to minimise contamination spread, think the Yanks have got a neutron bomb which minimises collateral damage and just takes people out! No doubt they would target the political command and communications infrastructure and of course any launch sites; which may only require conventional weapons. Either way, "boots on the ground" won't be seen as an acceptable option. Of course, they may rely on the Chinese to deal with this embarrassment?!

Frankly, as I indicated, I don't think they'll do anything without Chinese unofficial permission, as they (the Chinese) are as miffed off with the N/Korean antics as everyone else is. s for nukes; I'm suggesting it would be a response to any N/Korean use of nukes.
