Sparky71 Posted February 3, 2013 Report Share Posted February 3, 2013 Did I read correctly somewhere that the monthly rent for the old Total Fitness site was nearly a million pounds. I hadn't a clue as to the going rate, and this is unbelievable. Are similar sized sites in our town paying similar prices, eg M&S, Go Outdoors, BHS, Debenhams and the like. If so, no wonder there are so many empty sites like the old TJ Hughes and Boots. If you had a business making gold from tap water you would be hard pushed to make a profit after paying wages, energy and materials on top of this rent.
