Recommended Posts

My understanding is that the seat of a bishop,in ecclesiastical terms, is a cathedral. In that context why is the Parish Church not designated as a cathedral. Can any of the knowledgeable sages on here please end my confusion...?

I think Bishop David (Bishop of Warrington) is an assisting bishop, with the status of Suffragan Bishop, a subordinate to the Bishop of Liverpool, whom he assists as the Diocese of Liverpool is a big one.
