theinsider
After the poor start to the season the next three games are looking massive for Town. Ossett Town A, Cammell Laird at Home and then Prescott Cables away in the FA Cup. If they don't start winning soon it is going to be a long miserable season just like back in the bad old days! From what I can see the club has worked really hard to improve its profile off the pitch - but has not matched it on the pitch. If you take into account the end of last season and the start of this - I think you will find Warrington Town have won one of their last 10 games! Not sure why expectations have been so high from the fans?
Furious Town Boys
Simple answer Insider regarding the expectations: The management & players have all said repeatedly that they will win/challenge the top of the table this season...as fans you only want to believe them and support that aim. After 4 games it is looking impossible already! Seem to have lost the ability to know how to play football during the close season.
WireWarrior97
This season is already looking scary, to be honest. If we are to challenge for anything, we need to at least sort out our home form. Maybe look for a draw against Ossett (Sorry, is it Albion or Town we are playing, by the way?) and against the Camels, then start looking to turn draws into wins. burgerman
This season is quickly turning into a massive disappointment however we do need to give Joey time to turn it round. last year we got off to a great start and we still didnt finish in the playoffs. Who knows we may have a charge after Christmas and finish in the playoffs.
WireWarrior97
All I can see is an unsuccessful late charge because we've already dropped too many poiints.
burgerman
I remember a certian team in the Championship a few years back (might have been Ipswich) who lost the first 4 or 5 games and managed to get promoted. it is early days yet all teams go through bad spells, lets hope this is our only one for the season! WireWarrior97
I can see your point, but at the the end of last season we were needing 9 points from 3 games (And goal difference) to have a chance of getting promoted. This season, we have already dropped 9 points (This time without a stupid points deduction), which we will end up needing at the end of the season. dave asp1
Forget the play offs unless we get a new centre half or try and change Tomo's mind and get him out of retirement and get a good striker but I imagine Joey knows what he wants but thats how I see it, need a leader. WireWarrior97
I reckon the game tomorrow could be like watching United v Arsenal all over again...
Peter T
Great quote from Jamie Rednapp: "You either have a goal scorer or have a long season ahead".
Daymo
A decent game to watch yesterday, it seemed they were playing the ball along the floor and passing a lot more than in the previous games where they have been hitting the ball over the top, we have some quality players who can do a lot with their feet and cause plenty of havoc for the defenders, hopefully they will continue this and get back up to were we started. WireWarrior97
Best performance I've seen from them yesterday, great game. We've still got a bit of a knack for conceding early on, but form should change that, hopefully...
harry hayes
Still think it would be nice if posters could indicate the scores. Suppose there are many ancients like myself who are interested, but don't get out much. Happy days
WireWarrior97
Went 1-0 down in the 19th, Hickey scored 2 and we won 2-1.
Peter T
I will try to remember Harry. I listen to Radio Warrington on the computer and that's how I get the scores. Will update them in future if the grey matter works.

Suppose there are many ancients like myself who are interested, but don't get out much. Happy days Harry - there is a whole section of the website dedicated to Warrington Town a few clicks away! There is more to this website than just the forum - and if you don't get out much plenty to explore!

WireWarrior97
I think there should be a way to get updates on games though which doesn't involve the radio. Updates every 10 minutes on Twitter or something?
Woody
Pie Sports used to give updates during every game, that were added to websites immediately and this worked well, just need someone sat by their laptop

Updates every 10 minutes on Twitter or something? Please explain why any one would rather see a tweet update every 10 minutes than listen to real people live on radio? WireWarrior97
Is the radio proper commentary or just updates every now and again? And tweet updates work better when you are sat at home watching Soccer Saturday on the telly.
Peter T
ONLY if you are a Tweeter!!!.
