Dizzy
Thanks Saronie and Algy.... I thought as much and my pc is obviously playing silly buggers with me again. At least it is not blocking it anymore it just says there is a problem with the website and IE has to refresh and recover it and then it wont display or work properly. Technology is great until it starts to have a mind of it's own or fail inconsistently or without warning. Could be worse though I could be flying a plane and having these problems EEK
Saronie
I see on Winwick Lane (M6 J23 to Lowton Lane Head)there is a large wind sock in one of the farmers fields, wonder if this for landing or as a guide for crop spraying? Bill
I see on the news that the grass strip at Woolston has just been given the go ahead although I doubt it’s going to make any noticeable difference to the area. Bill

algy
Go for it Rocky!, it would make a smashing aerodrome, I can just see it now "Rocky aeroplane trips" taking of is optional, landing is mandatory.
Cicero
I remember it well, had my first flight from HMS Blackcap about 1955, de Haviland rapide by plane. Saw the guns being test on a Fairy Ganet, happy days.
gazandmalc
Hi, Anyone know where the homing beacon is for the airfield? There is a photo of it somewhere on google images and it is near some houses in a field. However, me and my friend have been all round the airfield and even spent hours looking on google earth and we cannot find it? Regards everyone.
