observer
- as an organ donor? Although the number of donors has increased, around 3 people a day are still dying on the transplant waiting list.

Geoffrey Settle
Not on any new system - I did carry a donors card under the old system years ago but I've no idea where it is - don't tell me your looking for some spare parts OBS I know a lot of mine aren't working as well as they use to when I was fit but I'm sure that soemone case recycle them. I'll look into it.
observer
If the Gov brought in an "opt out" system, there wouldn't be a problem.
Peter T
Read somewhere some time ago, that it was the relatives that were the problem, who didn't want their Mother or Father cut up. Surely it is the choice of the donor and nothing to do with anyone else.
observer
Errm, they'd be the first in the queue if they needed a transplant - so, a national data base of those who don't want to donate, and exclude them from any waiting list if they should want an organ - simples. Lt Kije
I would agree with that
observer
Seems some parts (not yet vital organs), can now be made synthetically using stem cells. So I guess the future is robotic.
