Evil Sid Posted March 6, 2011 Report Share Posted March 6, 2011 The thing is if we observed bank holidays like they did when they were first introduced then it would have a negative effect on tourism as nobody would be working and all the tourist attractions would be closed along with shops. There would be little or no public transport so the tourists would not be able to go anywhere unless they walked. So the tourist argument is really not valid.
