Peter T
I would have thought it was known for its drinking establishments.
vic
Bumble says, "How can anyone vote for the skittles, they bear no relation to the history of our town and are not even locally designed. We are a very ancient town with strong connections to the Romans..." What's so local about the Romans? They came, they saw, they conquered. As for the skittles (Guardians), they came, we saw, they won prizes!
Geoff Settle
I've always liked them, modern sculpture/Art is art you either like it or hate it but with time it can grow on you and with time they fit into an historic context. I can't remember what I voted for I think it was the gardens just because it's a lovely place to go and relax. I wonder what the voting would be like if it was a proportional vote? Gary
Well look like the Skittles won it with 30 per cent. I am sure the man who brought them to Warrington will be highly delighted.

wolfie
In keeping with the image of a Friday and Saturday night town centre full of drunk kids it appears that the only pub on the list has won Warrington's 'Pride of Place'
KeithR
So in the Pride of the Country, Warrington will be noted for it's pub
