Sue Durnim Posted October 15, 2010 Report Share Posted October 15, 2010 Royal Mail being privatised does not really concern me other than I fear for the people lower down the food chain who may lose their jobs, while the the want for another word, the bosses at the top wil get bigger bonuses and more rewards in the way of share options etc. Regarding losing the queens head, not really concerned as it makes no difference whos head is or isn't on the stamp, just having 'UK' in the top corner would be suffiecient for me. Also as paper/metal money seems to being going out of fashion which also has the queens head on them, credit/debit cards don't, and people don't seemed to be rioting in the streets or publishing petitions of Facebook? Frankly an elected President would probably cost us as much, if not more - however, the Royals could be slimmed down to the level of their Dutch and Scandanavian counterparts. As for the Royal Mail, yet another "British" Company up for sale to the highest bidder; no doubt allowing foreign interests to impinge on the political motivation of our elected class. Anyway. the Post was Privatised here and its gone downhill ever since. mail collections are once a day if your lucky, post arrives here after 1400 evehere unless you write to them and then it takes weeks to get an anryday, Service is crap at the counter, cant get a proper answer anywswer and then your fopped off...
