Geoff Settle
Well it's almost 3 years since the Tsunami occurred and I started to help the Doctor Kumaraswarmy and his wife organise the shipment of the thousands of bags of cloths in two large containers to Colombo. The doctor has overseen the construction in Sri Lanka of three houses and a temple with his own money and the money raised from the raffel we had in the Peace Centre. On Monday he filled two more containers but this time they contained furniture and medical couches etc from his surgery & home and he shipped them at his own expense. He told me over dinner on Wednesday that he had just collected his bus pass, I just hope that I have as much energy as he does when I retire. Geoff Settle
I just wish I'd known fully what they have been going through since then as reported in this weeks WG but with jobs at work being outsourced in two phasesand who knows a third I had other concerns on my mind.
