With an airline strike, threats of a rail strike and the probability of massive redundancies in the public sector - are we in for a Summer of discontent? :?

as long as the weather stays fair enough for bowling i will be very content.

The cheaper carriers will just step in to fill the gaps, and maybe BA's virtual stranglehold on slots at Heathrow will be diminished.

Shut the whole rail system down for all I care. Dirty, smelly, over-subsidised things trains are.

Hurray! not before time!

Think I might be in for quite a contented summer!
