Bill
Arrested because likey rhymes with pikey? Surely this is pushing the limits of credible policing. Would any one dare me to post a Polite joke? Bill

Bazj
They stuck the Old Acadamy on rollers and moved it 60 yards up Bridge Street.... does that make it a caravan??
Dizzy
No because after going to all the trouble of moving it they then basically rebuilt it and it can't be moved anywhere else in the area... but maybe it was a way to get round planning at the time

Evil Sid
was wondering about that definition of caravan whilst watching them move that town on monster moves. every house and even the church was lifted up and moved about two miles i think. by that definition of caravan that whole town would qualify. Dizzy
Didn't see that... why were they moving a whole town 2 miles? You'd think the buildings would become unstable after being moved Clever stuff though eh.
Evil Sid
it was built to service a mine in the area but the mining had created a huge hole that threatened the town. it worked out cheaper to uproot the houses and move them rather than demolish and rebuild two miles away. it is a series called monster moves and was on channel five a while back and repeated last week. it is still being shown at the moment at about ten to one in the afternoon. it is a bit over dramatised in places, "if this bit snaps the whole thing will come crashing down" and other similar comments. never seems to happen though. Dizzy
Sounds good but what a shame it's not on at night. Maybe it's on catchup TV though
RENT-A-GOAT
This just wouldnt happen in Britain. At least not unless Tesco or ASDA agreeing to build a superstore where the houses would be rebuilt
