Geoffrey Settle
Well the organisation is logistically moving off the road and onto rail but it is a private affair. they have their own fan club with special members merchandise but they are not train spotters. Gary
You're obviously not an RFL fan are you Baz? Geoff, I would rather pull my teeth than watch Rugby.... but would the company be Vestas by any chance? Baz - you mean you're not a Eddie Stobarts spotter! DS
1) Some of our press do like to stir it up and find fault to make a story sell. Too true, Geoff. But who is to blame? The press or the public who make the purchase?
vic
The John & Pauline Prescott programme about the north-south divide was worse in its shots of Liverpool, showing rows of property off Edge Lane boarded up ready for redevelopment. Geoffrey Settle
True Dave and that's the million pound ($) question as some have a bigger spoon than others do:D . I for one would NOT put WWW in that category but tabloids like the SUN I would as allegedly they certainly and in for a story with a hook line and sinker, plus they usually put a thick 4 oz steak on the end of the hook as well as a photographer lying face up in't gutter. Nope.... but if that is the community spirited company Geoff is talking about well if my company was a pound behind them I would donate a lot of my time and money to helping others too. As it is, the real world dictates that I have a wife and family as well as a company and employees depending on me so I need what I get!! Geoffrey Settle
Fair comment Baz and your family should always come first, but well spotted Gary. Hopefully he will be able to continue his valuable support for Independance, they certainly appreciate it.

Guest tonymailman
Volunteering for such causes is to be highly commended, it's when you volunteer for things and the people you help are total 'ingrates' and end up taking you for granted which p*****s people off who do the volunteering ........ been there, done that got the t-shirt !
