Geoffrey Settle
I have been asked by a lady driver to recommend a small family car, that will travel daily on the mortorway - round trip 50 miles. She has got her choice down to three which one who you recommend and why?
Geoffrey Settle
Apparently the Beetle's are made in Mexico and you can't get one until November, I think the Minis are made in the UK but where are the Golf's made? Tina1979
I'd have to say the Golf. Mini's and beetles are good cars, but aren't too roomy for boot space ! I'd love to own an old mini again, but thy're just no good for a family shop lol
Paul Kennedy
I think the Minis are made in the UK but where are the Golf's made? Minis in Oxford at the old Morris factory in the Cowley area. Golfs in Wolfsberg, Germany. A fine car albeit a little pricey. I would have said a Mitsubishi Colt, but the latest version is an ugly devil, Mrs K has the previous version and it has been very good. Bazj
Mercedes A Class. Small, easy to park, free breakdown and recovery all over Europe for life (as long as MB service the car) good sized boot...... and it's a Mercedes!! (oh, and the Beetles are made in Europe Geoff, it is the copies of the old beetles that are made in Mexico!!)
Dizzy
How much do Mercedes charge to service it though :
