Lt Kije
Is the paper eagle a foundation paper or a higher paper, The foundation paper is similar to the old CSE. An A grade at this is worth a C grade at the higher paper. Or is it a higher paper similar to the old O level
Paul Kennedy
So lets try something a little more difficult  A small pebble of mass M is placed in a viscous liquid and sinks vertically from rest through the liquid. When the speed of the pebble is V the magnitude of the resistance due to the liquid is modelled as MKV2 (that is Vsquared), where K is a positive constant.  Find the speed of the pebble after it has fallen a distance D through the liquid.  You've got 15 minutes folks....and in exam conditions you would also have to answer another 5 questions, and in total you have 90 minutes to do the lot.  PS You can't use a calculator with symbolic algebra, differentiation and/or integration. Bazj
Dear Sir Lt Kije will not be attending school today for his maths test as his pet Gold fish died in the night and he is very traumatized  Dear Sgt Kije,  I am deeply distressed at the news of Lt kijes goldfish. Under new EU legislation (Backed of course by the UK government, and with direct funding from Brussels) I am in a position to offer him counselling for this trauma at one of the new EU "drop in trauma clinics" here he can be seen by some of the best counsellors in the world and hopefully be able to make a full recovery from this ordeal  Unfortunately, due to the UK rabies laws, we are only able to offer these courses in Spain, France and Belgium. Full travel and hotel, food costs will be met by the EU as we are currently awash with excess money from the UK contributions and have to spend it somewhere!!  Please fill in the online application form at www.wewasteyourcash.eu  Regards

Eagle
Loo, O level exams are from way back and aren't the topic of conversation. The example is Foundation GCSE Maths (without calculator)
Lt Kije
As I said before eagle the foundation GCSE is the equivalent of the old CSE, The higher is the equivalent of the O level
