A futile war?

Recommended Posts

Yes BUT: the MOD won't release the numbers of enemy dead/wounded - this is an important measure in a war of attrition - is because our kill ratio isn't that high? :?

If a talibani gets blown to bits in a rocket attack; does that count as more than one!!??

When fighting in places like Afghan or Iraq " thousands of civilians " are killed according to different groups. The ages of these civilians are 8 to 80.

A lot of these " civilians " feed , hide, supply arms and are look-outs for the taliban.

Of course there are genuine civilian deaths but i do not think knowhere near as what is reported.

As for Taliban deaths not being shown on tv..... who wants to see mutilated humans of all ages...believe me it is not a pretty sight.

If the deaths were shown...would the public be proud of us? Or turn against the government and us?

One of the tricks of theirs is to send children as young as 7 or 8 strapped up with remote detonated explosives to patrols.

What would you do....let him come to you or shoot ?

Maybe they should show it on tv so people can see what we see when we try to go to sleep at night.

Perhaps if the MOD released the enemy body-count figures, we would be able to measure the level of success or failiure of the current policy of attrition? :?
