NHS cuts.

Recommended Posts

Well it seems we're being warned in advance, that our future of austerity will involve cuts and job losses in the NHS - so our choice will be - who's going to use the knife more sensitively?! :?

most governement funded organisations are overfunded and bloated adminstarively. I remeber Gerry Robinson doing a bit on the NHS for the BBC and he was astounded by the inefficency. Got to be room for custs and efficency savings.

How about the final salary pension for starters.

Or charges for missed appointments?

I arrived early for my appointment at the hospital recently, the person booked in ahead of me hadn't shown up, but rather than see me early the whole staff of the clinic stood around waiting for them,"in case they turn up at the last minute."

Further enquiries informed me that if they had turned up before the end of their treatment slot they would still be seen ahead of me, and my appointment would be put back or rescheduled for another day.:evil::evil:

You couldn't make it up!!!!

Could start by ending services for people who are not actually ill eg alcohol reduction campains, anti-smoking campains, women who want to dismember their unborn babies, illegal drug programs, letting druggies & drunks take up beds & the time of doctors & nurses simply becuase they are drunk or drugged up

Of course it won't happen because too many "interest groups" have a vested interest in the continuation of such provision.

Also the socialist groups need to continually extend the services provided in order that they can shout "stop the cuts!"

I worked in a Warrington hospital 25 years ago & the truth now is the same as then - the demand for health provision is unlimited - but that depends on what you define as health provision

Check out http://www.warrington-pct.nhs.uk/ I find it interesting.

There's a couple of jobs you might want to go for:

#1 is community sexual health service manager - pays ?38 to ?45 grand

#4 is a health trainer - pays ?15 to ?18 grand to tackle inequalities in health

On the other hand they can have the solutions for free:

1/ girls keep your legs closed & boys keep it in your pants - wait until you're married

2/ gypos get yourselves proper housing, pack in the fags & cut down on the booze

Funny you should mention that: seems the Tories have admitted they will be making cuts; but interestingly NOT in overseas development - so it seems they don't believe "charity starts at home"! Whilst it's clear, that a liberal management have/are wasting our money on trivia and gross inefficiencies exist; nothing says that a 10% cut will be confined to solely such waste and inefficiency, or that such surgical cuts would achieve the intended target. :? Whoever is the Government next year, will have to make radical cuts in public expenditure, the question will be, who will you trust to ensure that the burdens of this austerity are borne by the broadest shoulders. :?

As if to rub salt in the wounds of those awaiting serious medical operations, it seems the number of "gender bender" ops has increased by 300%, adding ?10million to the tax-payer's bill for the NHS.:twisted:

Unfortunately for the dogma of the "equal rights" brigade; male and females are bologically different; and carrying a sprog for 9 months, then providing the milk for it to suckle; tend to get in the way of a career - inconvenient I know - but a fact of life!

So you are saying that abortion does not involve the dismembering of an unborn baby? Errrr ...... so what does the procedure consist of?

Not at all Bonzodag, what stage abortion are you talking about. Many abortions can be done with drugs. Obs what are you on about equal rights for it has nothing to do with it. Do you agree with abortion or not :?:

The stage we are talking about is the one which involves dismembering an unborn baby. Do you believe that this should be for a mother to choose if she wants?

To quote from Americanpregancy.org - "The fetus is rotated and forceps are used to grasp and pull the legs, shoulders and arms through the birth canal. A small incision is made at the base of the skull to allow a suction catheter inside. The catheter removes the cerebral material until the skull collapses. Then the fetus is completely removed."

I had never heard of it and googled it, didn't take me long to find pro choice site that slated it :!:

This was the first I came across :!:

This is a tetchy subject and as many people disagree on faith grounds . I beleive people should have the right to choose, those people whos choice is influenced by faith I say fair enough. I do have a problem when people of that faith try to inflict it on non believers :!:

Hey, if we're going to make our publicly funded services slave to minority religious dogma why not go the whole hog and just introduce sharia law right now.

It's certainly no less out of touch and oppresive than Catholicism!
