Gary
Did you vote today - if so who for? Lets see if our posters reflect the result for the North West. I bet "None of the above (did not vote)" wins by a mile!
OZZY
How come there wasn't a rock n roll party - just about everything else!
theinsider
Amazing - historically a Labour town with two Labour MP's and not a single vote for Labour!

Gary
It wont let me vote on the poll Well you must be doing something wrong or have dodgy caching on your machine. Every member of th eforum can have one vote - simply click on your selection - the only way it wopn't let you vote is if you, or someone else has voted using your log in details? Dizzy
Where do I click then as its just showing me the results rather than the options with little circles next to them to click on. Guess you must be right and I am doing something wrong... like bothering to vote ..... Nice to see you have such faith in my computer skills Gary If someone has managed to pinch my login details then god help them cos they will have to chat to you lot

Paul Kennedy
I was at the verification process at Parr Hall last night...well until about 1 am when I had had enough....guess it finished about 3 Have to say it all seemed well organised. I'm waiting for the final turnout numbers, but it looked low. Approx 15,000 of the 24,000 postal votes were returned and in the normally high turnout wards, Polling Station turnout was only about 25%, which suggests an overall turnout of about 30%. Anyway I'll post the figures when I get them, hopefully later this morning. As the ballot papers were rightly kept face down, the counting agents couldn't do a lot so no real idea as to how the vote is looking. Some people were trying to create tally sheets from the odd glimpses that they had of the ballot papers, but frankly since those glimpses were few and far between such effort was a waste of time. Bit concerned to note that the ballot papers were yellow.

robocop
Looks like all the main parties have suffered from having their snouts in the trough - ironic really that the Euro gravy train involves the biggest amount of pig swill on the planet! Bazj
the Euro gravy train involves the biggest amount of pig swill on the planet! Don't be saying that.... you'll upset Kije and get nothing but pro-Euro drivel from him denying any wrongdoing and saying evrything is rosy in euroland! Horace
I expect Apathy and UKIP to be the main beneficiaries of the general unpopularity of MPs at present. I did intend to vote UKIP but then got involved in something else and forgot about it until getting to the polling station in time was just too much to face...so I guess I voted Apathy
