observer
See the Waste Transfer Station in Orford has raised a stink again! Maybe the applicants have solved the traffic gridlock problem on the A49, by using boats to transport the waste, given the risk of flooding in the area?! Bill
Is this the one at Longford rather than Orford? Right just read the story. This looks like the same firm who were refused permission at Woolston mainly on the grounds of noise because their location backed onto residential properties. From what I remember, they only carry out soil reclamation and is a completely different kettle of fish from the previously proposed medical waste incinerator. observer
Maybe they could do with a pumping station!
McBain
Interesting to see that the planning officers did not feel this proposal warranted a large-scale consultation exercise Perhaps the airing the proposal will get at committee will prompt a revision in the DC section's thinking
observer
Is it substantially different from the previous permission?
Bill
Seems from today?s news the plan?s finally been given the go ahead which to me seems a fair decision, especially when you consider what was originally planned to be built there.
