How daft does it have to get?

Recommended Posts

Almost panicked when I thought this topic had gone.

Here is something I saw in todays Guardian although it could be debated where the daftness lies  :

"The British public gives more to a Devon-based donkey sanctuary than the most prominent charities trying to combat violence and abuse against women, a report released today by a leading philanthropy watchdog reveals.

New Philanthropy Capital (NPC) has calculated that more than 7 million women have been affected by domestic violence but found that Refuge, the Women's Aid Federation and Eaves Housing for Women have a combined annual income of just ?17m. By contrast the Donkey Sanctuary, which has looked after 12,000 donkeys, received ?20m in 2006."

I'm not surprised. Most people have know idea of domestic violence and continue to live in their little bubble.

Daily Mail An RAF pilot crash-landed a ?69million fighter jet at 130mph after apparently forgetting to put the wheels down.

The state-of-the-art Eurofighter Typhoon careered down a runway without its landing gear down and experts are now investigating how the accident could have happened.

The pilot and the co-pilot, from 17 Squadron, were on a training exercised in California and miraculously walked away from the high-speed crash unhurt.

The plane, which has a top speed of 1,500mph, was flying in to the China Lake air base.

Wonder if he will have his wages docked.

If I were to do something similar with one of my employer's ships I wouldn't get my wages docked. In fact it would be more like what wages??? :D:D

Strange one this.

It is perfectly legal to ogle a man's chest but not a woman's breasts, according to an unusual ruling on what constitutes voyeurism by a panel of leading judges at the Court of Appeal yesterday.

When you read the case behind this ruling it's a bit disturbing. It demonstrates the world of difference between what is considered legal and what is common sense.:roll:
