Warrington Losers - Unemployed!!

Geoffrey Settle

It must be hard for the unemployed waiting outside the Job Centre Plus office on Mersey Way just before nine o'clock hoping for the prospect of an interview for a job. But when a lorry drives past with the passenger hanging out of the window shouting 'Losers' and other stuff now that's not nice.

I've also been told they are mocked by some passenger on busses on a regular basis so this view is not uncommon in the Town.

I hope that the passenger in the white lorry with blue signs on its side, a green wheel barrow, ladders and buckets in the back doesn't lose his job soon. With his attitude I'm sure that he'll be able to explain fully to his employers about his conduct as it's going to get them a bad reputation.

How rude

Perhaps the gobby passenger would do well in remembering that he is only driving round 'as a passenger' in a van with a wheel barrow, ladder and bucket..... Maybe some of the people he heckled have far better job prospect than that :wink:8)

Maybe he will find himself out of work too and in need of attending the job centre soon...... where hopefully he will be recognised by those who he so rudely addressed 8)

Idiots like that are often best ignored though

I must admit though; having driven past there on countless occasions, there does seem to be a hard core element of baseball caps and trousers tucked in socks brigade who spend more time outside socialising and smoking than they appear to spend inside looking for a job

The receipients probably were laughing: after all, they're getting paid for doing nothing, the guy in the van is having to work for it!

yeh, quite.

So who is the loser?

Dismayed,

Look on the positive side. Getting called names might be just the thing to encourage them to get a job.

When you are young, calling people names is par for the course. Feelings and sensitivities don't enter into it.

Let's face it, we aren't exactly shy on hear when it comes to criticising.:D

Don't be daft Peter :P .... not everyone who goes to the job centre is a lazy sod who doesn't really want to get a job but knows they have to go to get their dole money....

Don't tarr everyone with the same brush or you will finish up like Obs who has an obsession and overall dislike of kids and all unmarried mothers :lol: .... from memory I think he dislikes dogs too :wink:

'hear' ?????????? - don't you mean 'here'

Can't you spell properly Peter

Think that just made his point.

Actually I can say for those of us out of work , that really want to work - I would have been either angry or sad, if someone called me that as they were passing.

A Retort "COME BACK HERE AND SAY THAT TO MY FACE YOU COWARD"

:oops::oops:

Nice to see someone else on here cares about the feelings of the genuinely unemployed who really want a job Mary :D:wink:

Perhaps there should be two local job centres round here... one for the real job seekers and a seperate one for the lazy louts..... heckling at the latter only please

I prefer dogs too

Always happy to see you, they never carry on an arguement, the give in easily (well most of the time) and best of all all they every want from you in return is food, water, walks, some fun time and love.

Can believe 4 of us are actually agreeing on something

And just occasionally rip the odd child to pieces, I know it isn't the norm but with the current trend for deadly dogs as a statement of how hard a person is the amount of people being attacked is surely a worry.

You have got a bee in your bonnet today haven't you PJ :?

Having beeen brought up with many breeds of dogs over the years and knowing many dog owners too I'd say the vast majority of 4 legged friends make great companions... I even know many people who have had the 'dangerous' breeds you refer too that have been the most fantastic, gentle, great, loyal and loving dogs.

Problems seems to stem from the idiots who have no idea what the are doing and class their dogs as some sort of status symbol (regardless of breed in some cases) .. and seem to think that the scarier or more aggressive they are the better :evil:

In which cases the owners should be put to sleep at the same time as the dogs they have 'trained'

Most dogs (even the small breeds) will give the owner warning - by barking - of intruders, fires etc and as we've seen from a case in the States, can even be trained to phone for an ambulance! Aside from the umpteen services they provide to the Police and Rescue Services, the Blind etc; they can take their owners for a walk, thus ensuring they excercise! Finally, they give unconditional love and consistent loyalty, assuming they are fed, watered and trained.
