The Great Plague 1665 -

Observer II

Recommended Posts

A new series on CH5 will offer insight into the plague which ravaged London a year before the Great Fire.  New evidence indicates that rather than being carried by rat's fleas, it was carried by human's fleas and lice.   The measures employed at the time, social distancing, lock downs, home disinfections etc; were apparently highly effective in subduing the outbreak.  They even sanitised their coins by dropping them in a cup of vinegar.       😷
