Observer II
Is Warrington cinema going to close, due to the covid crisis ?  Why not bring back drive in cinemas, where viewers can be cocooned in their cars ?   😷
asperity
Apparently the big problem is the delayed production of new blockbusters, like the new Bond film, because of Covid. So the cinemas don't have the films to show never mind the restrictions.
Evil Sid
They could do what the BBC do a show repeats......🤔 With people staying in they are realising that it is cheaper to subscribe to the likes of netflix to watch films in the comfort of your own home rather than paying over the odds to sit in a cinema to watch a film and have the expense of transport there and back. Quite a lot of people now have a tv' in excess of 40" with bluetooth surround sound speakers and internet access that they do not use for more than watching soaps at present. two adults going to the super screen would be paying £26.00 for their tickets add onto that drinks and nibbles and that is the best part of say £40.00. to see one film. that is about the same price as three months subscription to the premium netflix package. surprising that cinemas are a viable prospect in those circumstances.

I wouldn't risk going in a month of Sundays !!
Evil Sid
i can't afford to go. Much better things to spend my money on like food, bills and the occasional pint. (mind you that has gone for now due to the virus)....🎻..🎶...
asperity
I've never been a cinema fan. The last time I went was to see Titanic at the cinema in Westbrook, which was in 1997.
