Aside from brief glimpses in the media, of boat landings on our beaches, the occasional stabbing in a park, protests at detention centres or hotel accommodation; we're never given the full facts behind the reality and scale of illegal migration into the UK.   As I understand it;  illegal migrants enter the UK having travelled through Europe, where they could claim asylum in any of the Countries they pass through, but choose not to.  When caught by the UKBF they are sent to detention centres for "processing",  those that aren't caught will disappear into a world of rough sleeping, from which many have been temporarily rescued due to the corvid crisis, and placed in hotel accommodation, or Local Authority housing throughout the UK - all on the QT.   The Authorities have admitted that they have no idea of the total numbers involved and haven't produced any policies for deporting them - all.    Many are now producing children, who have to be classed as British, thus giving their parents an anchor in the UK. So it's become a taboo subject, that the politicians avoid completely. So with possibly millions of these people now here, hiding in the shadows; we have our PM promising to take in over 3 million disaffected Chinese from Hong Kong.  Perhaps it's time the truth was made known to the electorate, who can then pass judgement on the matter ?      😠

Is it what "patriotic" posters put on faceache.

Or is it something that nobody actually knows.

Best guesstimates?

Or think of a number and double it ,add ten, divide by the average IQ of a politician and then add another zero because of quantum.

They are all public service consumers, the majority paying little, if any tax. From HK,  I wouldn't count on older, established business folk coming either, just young students, to join the usual suspects in the London demos.  .

Their is one factor that gets overlooked and it is why illegal immigration pisses me off.  I made an application to immigrate into the States after I had secured a job.  I then sat in England for over two years before I got notification of my interview.  Maybe that situation needs to be looked at, but that doesn't change the fact that there are millions of similar people waiting patiently for legal entry, while these a-holes soak up all of the legitimate available quotas.

That's the proper way to do it Stall;  and one the Gov should impose; by application to the Embassy of the Country you wish to migrate to, in your Country of origin.  This would allow medical and security screening at the Embassy, before they issue a visa.  Anyone entering without a visa, should be immediately deported and that needs to be written into law by our weak kneed politicians imo; before we're swamped.  😠

Latch:  a big mistake made by Westerners, is the assumption that Chinese business people want to leave China; they now have the freedom to make as much money as they wish, and don't need "democracy" as we know it.   If it we're the case that they all wanted democracy, they would have migrated here decades ago.😉

Priti Patel has announced an agreement with the French to clamp down on the traffickers - fine, but why isn't she clamping down on the traffic ?   Any rubber boats trying to cross the channel, just tow them back to a French beach - sorted; it's not rocket science.   😠

According to "certain people"  the French navy are actively escorting the rubber boats to "British" shores....🤫

True or Fake news i do not know. however if these "reports" are to be believed then more have come over this year than landed in France on d-day...🤭

It just turns the whole farce into a sick joke on us - why are the French, indeed the whole EU, tolerating illegal migrants roaming their streets and living rough, in the first place ?   The logical solution is for them to round up ALL such migrants and DEPORT them immediately.  Likewise, any that arrive in the UK, should be deported immediately.   Governments need to get a grip or will need to be changed.    😠😷

Unfortunately, these illegal unfortunates have probably paid a fortune to better their grim lives & those of their families. For many parts of the EU these providers of cheap almost slave labour are ripe to be exploited by unscrupulous businesses ,many with the same ethnic origins as the migrants. Compared to the Eastern bloc & beyond, the EU is a utopia with the UK the ultimate goal for many. The best way of stopping this migration is to bring the standard of living of these countries in line with those of the prosperous western world. However, i doubt that would fit in with the aims of the big multinationals who see cheap labour as increased profits.

I should think what we are seeing now is the jettisoning by our Euro neighbours of their great unwanted before Brexit is finalised,they will be desperate not to become dumping grounds for Europe's unwanted. But ,we do need robust borders with draconian consequences such as immediate deportation for undesirables entering our country. Incidentally,i wonder if the much trumpeted French fishing fleet plays a part in delivering boat loads of immigrants?

I wonder if they are getting off the boats six feet apart and wearing masks !     Crazy here in the Dem run cities, they are locking down the general population, but releasing all prisoners from the jail.  Apparently law abiding citizens can't be trusted to self isolate, but the criminals can !
