observer
Errrm; I do read them Gman; hence my comment on the accuracy of the series. Alas, that doesn't mean we can't enjoy such dramas, even if poetic license is used.
Goonerman
I never disputed that for a moment, Obbs. I like a good ripping historical yarn on telly. And noting the mistakes and embellishments is part of the fun.
observer
.. so perhaps we have that in common?!

Goonerman
I used to be a werewolf but I'm all right NOOOOOO... Note the Obbster's grumpy, begrudging admission. Like as if it was such a strain, you know...

Mary
Hahahahahaah - it is the full moon or lunacy in general?
Goonerman
The stupid thing is, if Obbs and I set up a Roman history reading club we'd get on very well. However, Christian History from that period might... well, I know one thing. Mary was quite wrong in thinking I would throw a brick at Obbs. However, if Obbs was really desperate we could go to Gulliver's to the room with all the plastic balls in his lord and master's territory! Â As for lunacy, well, there are plenty of mad Roman Emperors to study too.
observer
perhaps we can keep things in the virtual world?!
Goonerman
What's wrong with that? (Afraid of his stereotyping being hit on the head, methinks! Not even the offer of sticking to Roman politics helps! )  Boc boc boc boc boc  [ 04.07.2007, 20:37: Message edited by: Goonerman ]

Goonerman
But if you want a cure for insomnia now...hmm. But then since you would never want to meet me for some irrational reason, then a sledgehammer would do instead, oh wait, I've made that suggestion too late. observer
Some more poetic license at work for the "Battle of Philipii): both Brutus and Cassius played "the Roman Fool" by falling on their swords.
