Vandalism

Recommended Posts

During the night some mindless idiots vandalised lots of cars on the forecourt of Skoda on Winwick Road. What goes through the tiny minds of these people?

"it doesn't matter it's not ours and the police won't do anything" probably.

If they are ever caught then they should get the sheriffs in and goods should be taken from them to the value of the damage done plus sheriffs costs. Think mum and dad would think twice about where their little angels are if they suddenly found that their car, tv and sofa were off to the auction to pay for their little darlings fun.

Here's just a few of the cars that all had their windows smashed.  The repair bill for them all will cost a fortune.  Hope the idiots are caught and made to pay every penny and more besides, plus lock the idiots up.

It must be heartbreaking for the people who work at these showrooms. They rely on the sales of these vehicles to get paid. And how will it be if the likes of Skoda, Fiat and the other firms decide enough is enough and pull out of Warrington altogether, leaving Winwick Road a wasteland? Disgusting doesn't come close to describing the actions of these mindless vandals.

Some people have no understanding of the difference between a bit of fun and mindless vandalism.

When they grow up they'll have years to reflect on the fact that they can never claim to have been a good person or made the best of their lives.

Quite sad really.

Funny, though we have the occasional murder, we don't have a vandalism problem.  Mindlessly setting fire to things and destroying property seems to be a major U.K. problem.   Bad parenting is always a factor, but the overriding factor is that there are no consequences.  I witnessed the beginnings of soccer hooliganism at Old Trafford, where visiting supporters decided to break the windows of houses lining the approach street. The cops, dozens of them, just stood and watched.  When asked why, they said "As long as they are not killing anyone, we have been told to leave them alone."   Once the idiots realized that, the flood gates opened.

I'm an hardass and proud of it, I don't think the law should be watered down for teenagers.  They seem to do the most vandalism and should be punished regardless of age.  The tree huggers theories of compassion are always wrong and usually do more harm than good.  A fire is a fire no matter the age of the arsonist.  They may eventually learn to be good, but a good dose of what life can be like if they don't, wouldn't go amiss.

The problem is the perception that any adult trying to stop one of these thugs youngsters going about their criminal behaviour childish pranks will feel the full force of the law against them, rather than against the perpertrators and/or the perpertrators parents. The penny will drop eventually, hopefully while there is still infrastructure standing in the town.

The joke is even if caught you can not ask the parents to pay for the damage as parents are not responsible for what their children do.

I feel parents should be forced to pay fines and damage caused by their little dears.

Of course assuming they are under 18
