May to go -

Finally the PM has agreed to resign in due course;  but if we think the pantomime is over, just look at the possible replacements, led by BoJO  -   a sad reflection on the quality of our politics and politicians. Perhaps candidates should have medical exams to discover if the have a back bone ?

So, May stands down;  BoJo (the favourite) takes over;  the numbers in Parliament haven't changed - so what happens ?   I suppose if the new PM makes some futile attempt to renegotiate the Backstop, which the EU have said is their last offer;  takes us over the October deadline and we simply crash out with no deal or a G/Election is called to try and refresh the parliamentary arithmetic ?

The best indicator of support for the type of Brexit will be given by the Euro elections .Get plenty of seats for the leave parties & a mandate is provided for a swift exit. These elections should completely remove the need for remainers to harp on about another referendum .

You miss the point there, they only get that chance to vote for a referendum if they vote for her deal.

I quote directly from the text of her speech as delivered "So if MPs vote against the Second Reading of this Bill – they are voting to stop Brexit."

A referendum is not the main threat - it is clearly revocation., she also said "

So we are making a new offer to find common ground in Parliament. That is now the only way to deliver Brexit."

She makes the point that Parliament will not allow a no deal. Looks like your Brexit hopes may be going down the pan along with the Conservative Party.

It seems the treacherous May wants to make sure the country is bankrupted as her legacy with her attempt to legalise the zero "carbon" emissions by 2050 pledge. Utter nonsense of course, because even if this country reduced our CO2 emissions to zero tomorrow (which means everyone would have to stop breathing) the only effect it would have on the global climate would be zero. It's time for some adults to take charge and deal with the real world as it is, not the fantasy climate disaster world that is being sold to us as reality.

Enshrine carbon dioxide emissions in law even though the government cannot directly control them! More pointless stupidity - in fact just the same as reducing child poverty when it is defined as a relative measure so cannot go away by definition unless everyone is uniformly poor.
