I finally learned what is basically wrong with political systems, at least in the US.   Was watching a house renovating program on tv when they introduced  a Representative who was a electrician before being elected to the House.  He was there to help out for a few hours.  The host asked him if there were any other electricians in the House,  he said "No, there are a couple of welders, a few housewives and some business men and three hundred lawyers !!   There are 435 members of the House and three hundred are lawyers.   No wonder we are getting screwed by Congress.😀😕

it would seem that lawyers gravitate to politics. Thinking about though it is not too surprising as the basic job description is the same. Talk a lot of fancy words and say nothing.

I see this new found criticism of the House of Representatives comes hot on the heels of Trump losing control of it so now they are fair game lol.  Pray tell, how many electricians are represented in the Senate?

This is similar throughout the world Tex, a professional class of politicians who know what's best for the Plebs; in some cases, like the House of lords or the EU, not even elected. Problem is of course, it won't change, simply because turkeys don't vote for Christmas.

I did not criticize the House PJ, I cast an aspersion on Congress.  Plus Trump did not 'lose' the House, it went to the Democrats as it usually does in mid-term elections.  

In Presedential elections, the imbalance created by huge, highly populated cities and States like California and New York, which are predominantly Democrat havens and the less populated States like Montana and Wyoming etc, which are predominantly Republican, is corrected by the Electoral College, so that every State's viewpoint is represented.   The fact that California may send  a hundred Representatives to congress and Montana may only have two, is considered to be unfair and non-representative, so every State is awarded a certain number of electoral votes and those votes determine the winner.   There is no Electoral College in the mid-terms, so the big urban vote swamps everything else.  

In the case of the Senate, every State gets two Senators, hence 100 Senators in the Senate, so in a fair fight, the Republicans win.

And I am the one making personal attacks lol.  Well I suppose if you have no defence for your hero Trump and his despicable behaviour attacking the messenger is your only recourse.  As for never advancing factual argument,  you must suffer from very selective reading and an over exposure to Fox.

Fact is he cancelled because of the weather, bless him, can't go getting that ridiculous comb over wet now can we.

1) a) I ain't paying any storage fees cos it's not mine...send the bill to 'his lordship' who probably wouldn't pay either cos I'm not sure I asked his permission to lend you them lol 
      b) I could charge you a daily rate for the fact I have been waiting for 2 years for you to turn up to a 'Dizzy darts challenge' (when you first said you would also drop the sports stuff off)            and  also an additional daily fee for the inconvenience of having the said dart board on a bloody big metal stand stood in the corner of my living room waiting and knowing that I                  could  beat you (at darts I mean..not beat you with the metal stand....ooh but then again....)  i recon you just bottled it cos you were scared of me....

2)  We/I... I guess yours was a 'we' when it first all went there...has Bazza now disowned you too and made you store your own crap elsewhere then lol

3) Oooh yes Shelleys did us proud...blummin' gorgeous food and couldn't fault it.  Lovely people and service there too.  FAB

7: Birmingham is fab, especially the curry houses and pubs.  It’s not wet either, it’s sunny and strangely warm for mid November.  Oh the climes they are achanging
