It is just a pity that no one had the foresight that anything so trivial & possibly vital to the security of the New World would ever have progressed to today's nightmare scenario. No one ,not even today ,could have that foresight, but has any political bloc in the US got the bottle to change the Constitution ? I didn't say it isn't a problem (for the USA), but if you look at the statistics the States that have the most stringent gun laws also have the highest gun crime. We have a blanket ban on guns in this country but it doesn't stop people getting shot. The problem in the USA is wider than just gun ownership, it's lawlessness amongst certain demographics. Go to another state with more lax laws & some gun crime may not be recorded. For instance , when does defending your property become murder or a lesser gun crime in different individual states ?
